Security investments tend to accumulate faster than the strategy behind them—a firewall upgrade here, a compliance requirement there, a new tool bought after an incident. Eighteen months later, no one can explain which control addresses which risk, or what to do next. An advisory engagement exists to answer that directly: what actually matters, in what order, and why.

Where we help

Security Assessments

Current-state reviews across people, process, technology, controls, governance, and operational dependencies. We look at what’s documented and what actually happens day to day. The two are rarely identical, and we’re direct about which gaps carry real risk versus which are lower-priority hygiene items.

Architecture & Zero Trust

Identity, network, cloud, endpoint, access, and segmentation decisions aligned to practical modernization priorities. Rather than prescribing a reference architecture wholesale, we sequence changes around what your environment, budget, and staff can realistically absorb in the next 12–18 months.

Security Operations

SIEM/SOAR, detection, telemetry, threat intelligence, incident readiness, and operational workflow improvement. The goal is a SOC that can explain what it detects, why, and what happens next—not a larger volume of unreviewed alerts.

Typical deliverables

Built to stay useful after the engagement ends.

Assessment package

  • Current-state summary
  • Gap and risk assessment
  • Prioritized issue register
  • Executive briefing

Action roadmap

  • Sequenced remediation plan
  • Architecture recommendations
  • 90-day and long-range priorities
  • Implementation decision points

How we work

  1. Define scope, success criteria, stakeholders, and data needs—for example, whether this is a full-environment assessment or a focused review of one system or initiative.
  2. Baseline the environment through evidence review and stakeholder discovery, including interviews with the people who operate the systems day to day, not just the people who documented them.
  3. Assess against relevant practices, controls, operational goals, and risk, looking for root causes and dependencies rather than isolated findings that don’t connect to one another.
  4. Prioritize recommendations by impact, risk, effort, dependency, and feasibility, so the roadmap reflects what your team and budget can actually execute.
  5. Present findings and support implementation planning and knowledge transfer, so your team owns the roadmap going forward.

Good fit, or not a good fit

We’ll tell you plainly if a different kind of help is a better fit.

A strong fit if

You need an outside, senior perspective on where to focus limited security budget and staff time. You have some security tooling in place already but no clear prioritization. You’re preparing for a funding cycle, audit, or leadership change and need a defensible roadmap.

Probably not, if

You’re looking for 24/7 managed detection and response staffing, or a large team to execute remediation work directly. We’re built for senior advisory and roadmap work, and we’ll tell you plainly if that’s not what you need.
